Protein Shake

There is a lot of protein in this one, so better to just to have this one after an intense work out or on if you’re on a short term weight loss program. Not one to have every day but it will certainly keep you full until your next meal. Just make sure you have lots of fibre on any increased protein diet so you keep your colon healthy too!

This serves 1

  • 1/2 cup preferred milk (low fat if watching your weight NOT skinny milk – it’s ridiculously processed)
  • 1 x egg
  • 1 x tbsp almond butter (or peanut butter)
  • 1 x banana
  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 x tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 x handfuls of ice
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup

Blend away with all ingredients until it’s all smooth and mixed together in whatever you have ie Thermomix, Blender, Nutribullet. Best served over ice.
