Caffeine Kick Start

I love caffeine….the stronger the better! It gets me pumped for the day, it makes me think clearer, plus surprisingly its good for blood pressure in the right moderation. This is one of my breakfast options in my new spring cleansing weight loss and wellness program. It’s easy to make, and kindve like breakfast and coffee all rolled into one, so a great one for those crazy mornings.

It’s got a good amount of protein in it to keep you full most of the morning with the almond butter, milk and chia seeds plus extra energy with the banana; surprisingly the flavours work really well together. This is a great one for the morning to get you firing all day!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup preferred milk (I use almond milk but do whatever floats your boat)
  • 1 tbsp of almond butter or peanut butter
  • 1 x tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 x shot of coffee (or a heaped tsp of instant mixed with a lil hot water)
  • 2 x handfuls of ice
  • 1 x banana
  • 1 tsp maple syrup

Blend away until its all nice and smooth like a milkshake. I serve mine over more ice too.
